Kevin Berry has been an extraordinary presence in our lives, especially our son's life. Kevin is as selfless as they come. Kevin is someone who puts the needs of children, youth, young adults, and those in need above all else. Without Kevin, our son certainly would not have experienced the many successes he has had since Kevin, thankfully, came into our lives.
Our son has become a thriving eighteen-year-old attending his second year of college and working a part-time job. Our son has grown his confidence in himself, his experience within the community and in social settings; this would certainly not have happened without Kevin's kindness and assistance in navigating and sourcing resources within the education system and community for our son. Over the last six years or so, Kevin Berry in his role with SEAC has worked hard to help my husband and I navigate through the logistics with the SCDSB, to ensure our special needs child gets the best quality of education that he deserves. Without Kevin’s help, we know for a fact we would never have been able to be where we are now. Kevin has helped us both in the elementary grade level and is continuing to help guide us now in high school. It is challenging enough as a parent of a special needs child, so to have someone to help us, like Kevin has and continues to do, with a kind manner, and an amazing amount of knowledge, we can never thank him enough. We wholeheartedly wish him great success with his School Trustee election, in his riding, as we cannot think of anyone else better suited to help so many more families like ours, trying to navigate in the educational system.
